ga nooit voort op het label
en zeker niet op de dikte van de coax
zelfs Belden heeft verschillende RG58 kabels en dikten
idem RG213 van verschillende fabrieken geven soms +1 mm dikteverschil
I never have bought via alibaba.com, but if you want to see what is coming out of China, it's a good place to look. The problem isn't with the coax on the test leads that I have (which were made in China) because it has a label that contradicts itself. The real problem is that cable with only a RG58 label, but is not 50 ohms, can be bought in bulk by western importers and distributed widely within their countries. Many of these importers won't test it, but it will be distributed as antenna cable or used for further manufacturing into test leads and other gear. So if you go on eBay or Amazon or elsewhere and buy RG58 cable or gear that contains it, it might not be 50 ohms. The only semi-safeguard is to buy cable that also has the stamp of a US or European manufacturer. It's only "semi-safe" because the manufacturer label may be fake. The ultimate safeguard is to test every bit of coax we buy, but how many of us do it or have the capability of doing it?
